DICKSON, Tenn., Oct. 22- Robert S. Clement, a former Mayor and the patriarch of a Tennessee political family, died yesterday at the age of 80.
Mr. Clement, a Democrat, served as Dickson city attorney for 40 years. He was the father of the late Frank G. Clement, a former governor, and of State Senator Anna Belle Clement O'Brien. He was the grandfather of Bob Clement, a former Tennessee Valley Authority director who unsuccessfully sought the 1978 Democratic nomination for governor.
Mrs. O'Brien said her father had worked in his law office yesterday and watched part of the World Series game on television. She and her mother, Maybelle Goad Clement, found him dead when they went to bid him good night.
