Jewell Caughey was the daughter of Cora Richardson and Eddie Francis Caughey. She was the mother of five children with her first husband, Wallis Wilmeth. She had no children with her second husband E.W. Roberts. She rests between her daughter Cora Sue and her husband E.W. Roberts.

Jewell Roberts, 89, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 16,2008.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, Okla., with Daryl Wilmeth officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Roberts was born Jan. 2, 1919, in Whitehall, Mont., to Eddie Francis and Cora Clyde Caughey. She lived in Amarillo from 1952 to 1997, then moved to Conroe and later to San Antonio. She was a member of the Bolton St. Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She worked as a nurse's aid.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wallis Wilmeth; her second husband, E.W. Roberts; a daughter, Cora Sue Wilmeth; a son, Samuel Wilmeth; a grandson, Don Michael Wilmeth*; and a great-grandson, Seth Daniel Russell.
Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Ann Cervantez of Spring Branch and Kay Pluck of Spring; a son, John Wilmeth of LaPorte; a sister, Rose Lee Thorstenson of Whittier, Calif., eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today at the funeral home.
