Funeral services for WALLIS H. WILMETH, 90, of Conroe will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Arnold Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 13, 2007 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Cashner Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Mr. Wilmeth was born September 10, 1917 in Cordell, Oklahoma and passed away on September 11, 2007 in Shenandoah, Texas. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during WWII. His hobbies were working in the yard and reading. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Sage Wilmeth; daughter, Cora Sue Wilmeth; and son, Samuel R. Wilmeth. Wallis is survived by Helen Adams Wilmeth and Jewell Roberts; daughters, Sherry A. Cervantez and husband Adrian of San Antonio, W. Kay Pluck and husband Charles of Spring, and W. Honey Adams and husband Kenneth of Deer Park; sons, John R. Wilmeth and wife Brenda of LaPorte, Dale Wilmeth of Arp, Wesley Wayne Wilmeth and wife Betty of Houston, David Brian Wilmeth and wife Dea of Hobart, Oklahoma and William Kelly Wilmeth of Dill City, Oklahoma; sister, Dorothy Wrather of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother, Joe I. Wilmeth of Houston; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive. Pallbearers will be Steven Baker, Brian Wilmeth, John Wilmeth, Kelly Wilmeth, Wesley Wilmeth, Charlie Pluck, Daryl Wilmeth and Dale Wilmeth. Published in Houston Chronicle on September 13, 2007
