Elza Woodrow "E.W." Roberts, 80, of 4209 E. 16th Ave., died Tuesday, July 5, 1994.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Bolton Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Strickland, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. in Lone Star Cemetery at Rocky, Okla., by Martin Road Chapel of Schooler-Gordon * Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Mr. Roberts was born in Mangum, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 41 years. He married Jewell Caughey Wilmeth in 1952 at Cordell, Okla. He had worked for Pantex for 27 years, retiring in 1981. During World War II, he worked as a ship builder in Monterey, Calif. He was a member of the Bolton Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Leland Roberts of Sparta, Tenn.; a stepson, John Richard Wilmeth of La Porte; two stepdaughters, Sherry Cervantez of San Antonio and Walla Kay Pluck of Parkesburg, Pa.; three grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
