BURNSVILLE, Minn. - Martha Wilma Petzing Engel, 96, of Burnsville, formerly of Springfield and Altamont, died Friday, April 2, 2004.

She was the daughter of Edward and Alvina Hoese Petzing. She married Clarence Tom Engel; he preceded her in death. A daughter also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Engel was a substitute teacher at Springfield Junior High School, a training director at Myers Brothers and did home demonstrations as Ada Homes. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Springfield.

Survivors: a daughter, Carol Engel of St. Paul, Minn.; a sister, Esther Berg of Champaign; two brothers, Raymond Petzing of Effingham and Harold (wife, Hazel) Petzing of Altamont; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Trinity Lutheran Church, Shumway. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Shumway.

Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson is in charge of arrangements.
