Marvin L. Olsgaard, 46, 2731 Custer Ave., was pronounced dead on arrival at Swedish-American Hospital at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 1963, after his car collided with another at Brendenwood Road and Winthrop Lane.
Born Aug. 1, 1917, in Comstock, Minn., son of Reder and Sina Olsaard. Lived 20 years in Rockford, coming here from Fargo, N.D. Office manager here of the Udylite Corp. for 10 years. Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. Member of Glorida Dia Lutheran Church. Attended Moorehead, Minn. High School.
Survivors include: a daughter, Lesley M. Olsgaard, Rockford; a brother, Oris N. Olsgaard, Omaha, Neb.; two sisters, Mrs. Esther Voala, Fargo, N.D., and Mrs. Verna Kapun, Fargo; and nieces and nephews.
Services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Sundberg Funeral Home. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
