Peter Hanson was called away to eternal rest on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock after an illness of several months duration, wth dilatation of the heart and nephritis. Mr. Hanson was born on August 20 in the year 1858 at Nordland, Norway and immigrated to this country in 1882 at the age of 24 years, and he was married in 1899 to Ina Olson of Brandon. He passed away April 5th at the age of 68 years. During the last four months of his illness Mr. Hanson suffered very much, but nevertheless he was always cheerful and patient and was ready to go to his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. His wife preceded him in death, thirteen years ago and he leaves to mourn his departure, the following children: Selma, Ina, Hans and Phillip at home, Mrs. Alfred Michelson of Paynesville, and Howard and Axel of Excelsior, he also leaves one brother, Christ Hanson of Moe, and one sister, Mrs. Peter Larson of Cass Lake.

The funeral was held on Friday at 1 o'clock from the house, and at 2 o'clock at the West Moe church, Rev. Edward Livingston officiating. The pallbearers were Ole Burkee, Peter Burkee, John Endreson, Louis Olson, Albert and Martin Thorson.
