Theo. Gengler
Funeral services for Theodore Gengler, 68, lifelong resident of this community who died Friday at the Sacred Heart hospital here, were held at 9:30 a. m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic church at Remsen. Burial was in the parish cemetery at Remsen.

Mr. Gengler was born October 11, 1885 at Le Mars. He farmed near here until six months ago when he came to Le Mars to reside with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Clement. He married Clarinda Wagner January 20, 1909 at Remsen. Mrs. Gengler died in 1943.

Survivors are four sons: Alfred and Donald, both of Remsen, Charles of Wexford, Pa., and Robert of Wichia, Kans.; six daughters. Mrs. Wilbur Clement of Le Mars. Mrs. Joseph Salentini of Clariss, Minn., Mrs. Hugh Garvin of Sioux City, Mrs. Joseph Hornick of Wexford, Mrs. Melvin Kipp of Wichita, and Mrs. Charles Thompson of San Francisco, Cal.; two brother, Peter of Oyens, Ia., and Nick of Elkton, S.D.; four sisters, Mrs. Gerrit Probst of Le Mars, Mrs. George Lanzendorf, and Mrs. John Arens, both of Oyens, and Mrs. Frank Ludwig of Remsen, and 16 grand-children.
