Hazel Hickman, age 80, of Idabel passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Idabel.

She was born May 7, 1928. Hazel married Tom Jefferson Hickman on March 25, 1946 in DeQueen, Arkansas.

She was a homemaker, and enjoyed working in her flower garden, cooking, and singing. Hazel was a member of Grace Assembly Church in Idabel and was a devout Christian. She was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County.

Hazel was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She blessed the lives of many people especially her family. Hazel was a very special mother to her son Wesley and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.T. and Etta Mulkey; brothers, Abe Mulkey, Mitchell Mulkey, and Tommy Mulkey; and two sisters, Viola Nunn, and Ethel Tate.

Hazel leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 62 years, Tom Hickman of Idabel; sons and daughter-in-law, Wesley Hickman of Idabel, and Dennis and Vonna Hickman of Hollycreek; sisters and brother-in-law, Irene and Earl Frunk of Hochatown, and Claire Pluckett of Sacramento, California; a brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Billie Mulkey of Hollycreek;

Grandchildren and spouses, Tommy and Tori Hickman, Denise and Brian Sanders, and Robert and Tiffany Hickman; great-grandchildren, Lori Hickman, Tommy Hickman Jr., Riley Sanders, Clay Sanders, Sadie Sanders, Braxton Hickman, Destiny Hickman, and Shaylen Adams; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
