Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Smith Long, 89, a relative by marriage of the politically prominent Long family, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 8,1955, at the Corinth Tabernacle with the Rev. E. B. Barton, Jr. officiating. Burial was in Corinth Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Morris, John, Parker, Jim, and Oscar Long, all of Winnfield, and Felix Long of Tullos; three daughters, Mrs. C. W. Allen of Winnfield, Mrs. David Nugent of Pineville, and Mrs. Jim Gilmore of Columbia; two sisters, Mrs. Zue Dawson of Monroe, and Mrs. Robert Bartley of Winnfield; four brothers, Charlie, Jim, Darius, and Pat Smith, all of Winnfield, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
