Services for Oscar Long, 79, of Pleasant Hill Community, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday April 17, 1983 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. James Simons and Rayford Higgs officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Long died at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, 1983 in an automobile accident near Winnfield.

He was a retired barber and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Cornelia Pray and Priscilla Bedgood, both of Winnfield, Mary Long of Fort Worth, Texas, and Scarlett Gates of Gulfport, Miss.; one brother, Parker Long, Sr., of Winnfield; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Al Long, James Long, Dale Long, Gene Long, Butch Pray, and Mike Atkins.
