Amelia Columbus, 89, of N. Syracuse, passed away Monday at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Liverpool, Amelia was a member of the American Iris Society. She is predeceased by her husband Anthony John Jr. and her son Anthony John III.
Amelia is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Bognacki; two sons, Thomas and Scott; four sisters; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero. Burial will follow in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Family Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N Syracuse.
