Word has been received in Kalamazoo of the death Friday morning in Marshall of Mrs. Sarah Stevens, one of the pioneer residents of Richland. Mrs. Stevens was the daughter of Deacon Simeon Mills, who settled in Gull prairie in 1831, and was one of the foremost men in this part of the state in his day. DIED AT 93 YEARS.
[Special to the Evening Telegraph.] MARSHALL. Mich., Feb. 22.—Mrs. Clara[sic] A. Stevens died Friday morning at the Dulcenia home, where she has been an inmate for some time. She would have been 93 years old in March. Heart disease was the cause of her death. Mrs. Stevens came from Richland, Kalamazoo county, and her remains will be taken there for burial.
