Wilmer was born Oct 21, 1918, in Cherokee, the son of Adolph and Hazel ( Perrin) Anderson. Wilmer Edward "Teeny" Anderson, 70, of Alta, Ia., died Monday, Dec, 26, 1988, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Ia.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday from the Jones-Barker Funeral Home in Alta Ia. with the Rev. Ronald Kitterman of the United Methodist Church in Aurelia, Iowa, officiating. Burial was in the Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee, Iowa, with Military rites conducted by the Veterans Of Foreign Post 6172 of Alta, Iowa.

He graduated from Aurelia High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from Jan., 13, 1942 until Oct.,24, 1945. He married Eleanor Blake Mar.21. 1944, in Cherokee, Iowa. The couple farmed in Afton Township, Cherokee County until moving to rural Alta in 1955.They retired Jan.,1, 1987 and moved to Alta.

Survivors include his wife Eleanor, a son, Dr. David Anderson and his wife Jeanie of Odebolt; Three brothers, Paul and his wife Phyllis and Harold and his wife Melva of Aurelia, Marvin and his wife Mary of Cherokee; four gradchildren and two step grandchildren.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother and sister- in-law, Harry and his wife Nina of Aurelia.
