Ophelia W.Oglesby, wife of Jasper J.Peddecord, died at about 10 oclock last night at the family residence at 226 N. Franklin street, her demise being the result of old age and general complaint. She has been feeble for several years and since Christmas failed rapidly.

Mrs. Peddecord was a native of Brownsboro, Ky, where she was born Jan.5,1820. She was one of the oldest residents of Decatur having come here with her brother, Ex Governor Richard J.Oglesby, in 1836 and Decatur has since been her home.
