MRS. J. K. TYLER Long Time Local Resident Dies

Mrs. J. K. Tyler aged 69 years who made her home in Muscatine for the past 41 years, died at Hershey Hospital at 5 A.M. today after a brief illness with complications. Her home was at 505 East Eighth Street.

The daughter of Charles and Augusta Seidler Snell, she was born march 10, 1878 at Coal Valley, Ill. Her marriage to Dr. J. K. Tyler took place at Clinton. Mrs. Tyler was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, three sons, Keith Tyler of Rock Island, Ill. Carson and Fred of Muscatine, two brothers Forest Snell and Harry Snell of Montpelier; two sisters Elizabeth Mardis of Carbon Cliff, Illinois and Lou Thomas of Illinois and three grandchildren. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.

The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home and rites will be held there at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday and at 2:30 P.M. at the Illinois City Methodist Church with the Rev. Edwin H. Hill, pastor of the Illinois City Methodist Church in charge. Burial will be in the Illinois City Cemetery.

Rev. E. H. Hill conducted funeral services on Wednesday afternoon in the Illinois city Methodist church for Mrs. J. K. Tyler, age 69, who past away Sunday morning, June 29, following a brief illinois.
Mrs. Nellie Glasier sang with Mrs. Omer Keller accompaying. Mrs. R. E. Duffield and Mrs. Anna Brisbine were the flower attendants. William Thomas, Ted Drumn, Hartzel Vanatta, Vaughn Powell, Allen Powell and Ivan Tyler served as pallbearers and burial was made in the Illinois City cemetery.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Keith of Rock Island and Carson and Fred of Muscatine; two brothers, forrest and Harry Snell of Montpelier, Iowa; two sisters Mrs Elizabeth Mardis of Carbon cliff and Mrs. Lulu Thomas of Illinois City; and three grandchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death.
