DR. J. K. TYLER Life Resident of City Succumbs
Dr. J. K. Tyler, 77, Muscatine Optometrist, died at 4:30 P.M. Tuesday at Hershey Hospital. His home was at 505 East 8th St.
The son of John K. and Ida May Miles Tyler, he was born September 22, 1876 in Muscatine and had lived here all of his life. He married Augusta Snell October 1, 1906 in Clinton.
Surviving are three sons, Keith, Carson and Fred all of Muscatine and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1947.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday at the Illinois City Methodist Church with the Rev. Eugene McCormick officiating. The body is at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Illinois City Cemetery.
