Eunice Alice Bergren was born December 15, 1900 near Stanton, Iowa to Charles A. and Eugenia Johnson Request. She died June 14, 1997 at Stanton Care Center, Stanton, Iowa.
She was raised and lived her entire life in the Stanton Community and graduated from Red Oak High School. She married Lawrence G. Bergren, December 29, 1920. She was a member of the Mamrelund Lutheran Church and active in the Women's circles. She was a member of the 20th Century Club and Friendly Neighbor Club, both of Stanton. She became a resident of the Stanton Care Center in January 1997.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Merlin, grandson, Larry and Roy Bergren; brothers, Dale and Ivan Request; sister, Effie Anderson and son-in-law, Allen "Junior" Lundgren.
She is survived by son, Leland Bergren and wife Betty of Yorktown, Iowa; daughter, Jean Anderson, and husband Robert C. of Stanton, Iowa. Grandchildren Doug Lundgren and wife Peg, Mike Lundgren and wife Lisa; Julie Kixmiller and husband Bob; Rod Bergren and wife Helene; Patty Fischer and husband Steve; and Eric Anderson. Also fourteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
Memorial may be made to the Mamrelund Lutheran Church or Stanton Fire and Rescue.
