RITES ARE WEDNESDAY FOR MRS. ANDERSON
Funeral services for Mrs. Johanna Anderson, 93, will be at her home 1004 Washington Avenue, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, at 2:30 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She died at her home Sunday morning, August 17, 1952.
Avis W. Benson, intern pastor will officiate. Music will be by Merida Collin at the organ. Floral committee members are Mrs. Paul W. Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Requist. Bearers are Arthur Magnuson, Carl Hoglund, Luther Peterson, Ervin Burke, Leonard Lindquist, Paul Dahlstrom. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The daughter of Peter Peterson and Sussana Johsson, she was born November 18, 1858 at Hggard, Smoland, Sweden. She came to Stanton from Sweden in 1888 and to Red Oak in 1918. She was married in 1889 at Red Oak to John Pontius Anderson, who died her in 1944. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and had been a charter member of the Tabor Lutheran Church in Wallin.
Survivors include a son, Walter of Stanton, two daughters, Mrs. Emma Anderson of Red Oak and Mrs. Edith Bergren of Stanton, seven grandsons and 11 great grandchildren; a brother, Johan Peterson, Sweden.
