Age 66, she was the daughter of the late Hubert C. and Margaret M. Gehrlein Hengstler. She was a telephone operator and service representative for GTE for 40 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. George Church and their rosary society. Carol enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and crafts.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Thomas “Tom” Crawford and two brothers, Charles Joseph (d 13 Apr 1982) and Richard Hengstler.
Survivors include a son, Mark D. Crawford, wife Laurie, Erie; a daughter, Colleen Bensur, husband Kenneth, Lake City; a grandson, Mark D. Crawford II; and several cousins.
