OBITUARY
Mrs. Anna Lovisa Johnson (born Danielsdotter) was born in Björkö, Jönköpings parish, Sweden, Dec. 17, 1832. She came to America with her husband in 1869 and settled in Altona, Ill., and in 1874 to Moingona, Iowa, and in 1857, west of Lanyon. Here she lived a number of years. With her husband she became a charter member of the Lutheran congregation at Harcourt, Iowa. Her husband passed to the home beyond in 1904. The last few years of her earthly life she has lived at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sandstedt at Holdrege, Nebr., and at Brush, Colo., where she passed from this life Monday, June 28, 1920 and her remains were brought to Harcourt and interred beside her husband in the Lost Grove cemetery in the ripe old age of 87 years, 6 months and 11 days. Her funeral services were held from the Lutheran church Thursday forenoon. She leaves to mourn her, a son, C. A. Johnson and daughter, Mrs. Alfred Sandstedt of Brush, Colo., 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; also one aged sister in Kansas, besides other relatives and a host of friends. She lived a long and busy life seeing much of the early pioneer life of Lost Grove township and has now gone to her new home among the faithful. May we all when once our call comes be ready to enter in the heavenly home prepared for us. Life with its sorrows passed over the way. And we shall meet just over the Bay, Ever united in heavenly praise, Seeing the Savior, face to face. Those from out of town present at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Sandstedt of Brush, Colo., and Mr. and Mrs. August Johnson and Florence of Emmetsburg.
