John Lafayette "Fate" was the child of John BRYANT (1806-16 August 1883) & Nancy Ann TUCKER HUDSON BRYANT (1 Dec 1813-12 Dec 1901). He was a farmer and a potter who lived to be 83 years and 12 days old before his death on a Sunday. He was married to Susan Penelope BRYANT (15 April 1851-11 Feb 1919). He was father to Charlie, Frances L., James, & Pearl. His wife passed away at 67 years and 302 days old on a Tuesday. The picture I have shared of him was sent to me by John's relative, Dennis BRYANT in 2003.
John served with Company E of the 6th Georgia Regiment Volunteers out of Crawford County, Georgia for the C.S.A. during The War Between The States according to an article that appeared in The Butler Herald on 21 July 1891, page 4, on a Tuesday.
