She was a graduate of Coker College in Hartsville. She was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and attended Garden City Chapel in the summer months.
Mrs. Wilson was a teacher. She was a member Lake City First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and was the first woman deacon. She also served on the board at Coker College.
