Elizabeth Faw Churchill (1878-1949) married in 1902, attorney John William Chalkley (1876-1932)(UVa. Law 1900), son of William Benjamin (1833-91) and Mary Washington Nunnally Chalkley (1838-1923), of Big Stone Gap, Va. He served in the Virginia House of Delegates, 1912, 1914-15, and was president of the Big Stone Gap Mountain Golf Club. Their two sons were John Bullitt (1908-78) who lived in Richmond, Va., and 1Lt William Churchill Chalkley (1918-43) who was an aeronautical engineer in the Army Air Corps in WWII and died in an airplane accident in Altus, Ok. He married in 1943, Artie Lee Enochs (1918-2011), and their daughter was Betty Jo Chalkley who was living in San Antonio in 1949.
