Son of John Bell (1730-1825) and Mary Ann Gilmore Bell, and brother to Gov. John Bell (1765-1836) and Gov. and US Senator Samuel Bell.

Records say he married Sarah Wingate Flagg.

Not buried with other Bells in the cemetery except an unknown relation MaryAnn Bell (1775-1841). His wife was not buried with him or there is no stone.
