Hon. John Bell

Columbian Centinel (Boston, MA), Dec. 21, 1825, p. 3:
In Londonderry, Nov. 30th, in the 96th year of his age, the Hon. John Bell--a man distinguished by an intuitive soundness of judgment, great decision of character, and inflexible integrity. He was a leading member of the New-Hampshire Legislature from the commencement to the close of the Revolutionary War, and after the establishment of the State Constitution, a member of the Senate and House of Representatives for many years, and until he declined public employment. He was, from an early age, a professor of the Christian religion, and exemplified in his conduct the purity of its doctrines. He was father to the late Governor of that State, and the present Sheriff of Rockingham.
