Mrs. Albert Bingel, beloved Del Norte pioneer woman, died early Monday morning after a siege of pneumonia. She was 73 years old.
Mr. and Mrs. Bingel had been old residents of Del Norte, coming here to settle in the 80s. Four years ago the couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary and were feted by the Knights of Pythias.
Johanette Muller was born at Steeden, Germany, June 24, 1861. She was married in 1880 and a few years later the young couple came to this country to make their home. Two children of a family of six are still living. They are Henry of Sterling, Colorado and Mrs. Folon Aydelotte of Del Norte. Mrs. Bingel was a woman with many friends in her home community. She was a devout member of the Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Ladies Aid, besides belonging to a number of other organizations. Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian Church.
