Wife of Sidney Sanders McMath, who served as Governor of Arkansas from 1949 to 1953. Mrs. McMath was only 28 years old when she became the state's First Lady. She was author of the book "First Ladies of Arkansas", which was published in 1989. The McMaths were the first gubernatorial family to live in the new Governor's Mansion in Little Rock.
