The posthumous reputation for Jan Stenbeck is describing a generous, warm friend and a good, well-respected leader. Because of his interest in sailing he was involved with sponsoring a boat participating Americas Cup. But he never was to see the race. A sudden heart attack ended his life the 19th of August 2002 when visiting Paris.
