Departed this life on the 21st of February last, at the residence of Mrs. Lavinia Hawkins, in Jones County, Miss. Georgia A. Hawkins, the eldest daughter of the late Col. Benjamin Hawkins.
Although she has taken her flight to the mansions of bliss, whilst in the summer of youth yet, long shall her memory and virtues live in the minds of a numerous circle of relations and friends.
On her grave
"The kindred tear shall often fall,
And fond affection linger nigh;
And hearts alive to virtue's call,
Shall frequent o'crit heave the sigh."
