Floyd A. Kilbourn, 71, passed away Thursday in a Minot hospital where he had been a medical patient for two weeks, following several years of ill health.
Born in Clarien, Iowa on Dec.3, 1891, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Kilbourn, he came to the Berthold area with the family in 1902. He married Carrie H. Hederberg in 1933 and they farmed in Mandan Township, south of Berthold, where they still lived.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Lyle F. of Des Lacs and Dale M. at home; three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Palmer of Sweet Home, Ore., Mrs. Ray (Lola) Aleshire of Salem, Ore. And Mrs. Charles (Amy) Vesey of Shamrock, Sask.; a brother, Fay Kilbourn of Aumsville, Ore. and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers were nephews, Robert and William Greenup, Dorian and Ronald Vesey, Clarence Knutson and Bert Abrahamson. Services were held Monday in the Berthold Baptist Church, Rev. Reeder officiating. Thompson-Larson Funeral Home was in charge and interment in Wildrose Cemetery at Berthold.
