TOM MEYER EXPIRES AT FULTON HOME

FULTON, July 2. - Tom Meyer, 38, well known local man, passed away at his home here at 9 o'clock Sunday night following a months' illness form complication of diseases. He owned and operated the Fulton saw mill and a threshing outfit. He was an active member of the Fulton band being the leading cornet player of that organization. Besides the widow, Mr. Meyer is survived by his parents of near here, three small sons, four brothers, Charles of Fulton, Edward of near here, Walter of Ferndale, Washington and Omer of Fort Wayne, and one sister, Mrs. Vern Zartman of east of Fulton. Funeral services will probably be held be held at the Fulton Baptist church Tuesday afternoon with burial in the Fulton cemetery. Alvin Ralph MEYER, familiarly known as Tom MEYER, aged 37, died at 8:45 Sunday evening at his home in Fulton following an illness of three weeks. Death was due to complication of diseases.
The deceased, who was a life long resident of the Fulton vicinity, was born on a farm northeast of Fulton on November 14th, 1891 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry MEYER. On January 19th, 1921 he was married to Miss Ollie RUSH, of Rochester. For the last three years Mr. Meyer has operated a saw mill in Fulton and prior to that time was engaged with his brother in the threshing business. He was a talented musician and for several years played with the Rochester band. He was a member of the Fulton K. of P. Lodge.
Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, three sons, Rolland [MEYER], Dean [MEYER] and Howard [MEYER]; his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Vern ZARTMAN and Mrs. Jesse BALDWIN, of near Tiosa; five brothers, Edward [MEYER] and Charles [MEYER] of Fulton, Arthur [MEYER] of near South Bend, Omer [MEYER], of Fort Wayne, and Walter [MEYER] of Ferndale, Washington. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Baptist Temple in Fulton with the Rev. J. G. BUTLER in charge. Burial will be made in the Fulton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
