Mrs. Allie Julia Duke, 86, died about 8 p.m. Monday at 4405 Gee St., the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tom Baker.

She was born April 9, 1877. She married A. A. Duke in 1899 and he preceded her in death in 1925.

She was a member of the Lamar Baptist Church.

Services are pending at the Coker Mathews Peters Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Tom Baker of Greenville; a son, Byron Duke of Greenville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the Coker-Mathews-Peters Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Allie Julia Duke, 84, who died about 8:15 p.m. Monday in her home, 4405 Gee.

The Rev. Foster Parnell, pastor of Lamar Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery.

Daughter of the late Lawson and Rachel Mayo Hadaway, Mrs. Duke was born April 9, 1879. She married A. A. Duke in 1899 and he preceded her in death in 1925. She was a member of the Lamar Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Tom Baker of Greenville; a son, Byron Duke of Greenville; a brother, Joe L. Hadaway of Greenville; a grandson, Thomas Baker of Altus, Okla; six great-grandchildren, Carol Baker of Greenville, Jack Baker, Larry Baker, David Baker, Rickie Baker and Mike Baker, all of Altus.
