Grand Prix race driver. Born in Casteldrio, Italy. His nickname was "The Flying Mantuan." He has many GP victories to his credit. Gained fame in 1930 Millie Migla when in the middle of the night he turned off his lights so he could pass faster cars. Just before the finish, he turned the lights back on to win. Considered a national hero, Nuvolari has a large museum in Mantua, Italy near his family chapel and tomb. His last request was that he be buried in his racing suit. That request was granted.
