Obituary printed in the Ludington Daily News dated 30 Jan 1907 states
William Warner Dead - Famous "Cider King" of Summit Township Succumbs to Sudden Attack of Heart Disease - William Warner was born in Tioga County, New York, 1840. He accompanied his parents to Pennsylvania and lived there until 1860, when he enlisted and served 4years during the Civil War. In 1865 he married Miss Annie Schook and they came to Mason County soon after. Three children were born to them, one son who died during childhood and two daughters, now Mrs Flora Willis of Erie, Pennsylvania, and Mrs S M Smythe of Scottville. Mr and Mrs Warner came to Ludington along in 1870 and remained here for about 3years during which Mr Warner conducted a livery and hack line, and Mrs Warner died.

In 1874 he married Miss Lydia Garner, who survives her husband. One daughter was born to this union, Miss Iva Warner who has been attending college in Valpraiso, Indiana. (this is not the full obituary)
