Ulderic ''Frenchie'' Mailloux, 83, of Vernon, died Thursday, (September 16, 1999) at Rockville General Hospital. He was the widower of the late Alice (Usher) Mailloux. Born in Thompson, he had lived in Vernon for the past 46 years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and had worked for the State of Connecticut, Dept. of Transportation before his retirement.

He was a member and past commander of Dobosz-Ertel-Laboc-Hansen, Post No. 14, American Legion and was a communicant of St. Bernard Church. He leaves his son, Leonard Mailloux of Manchester; his daughter and son-in- law, Joyce and Michael Caron of Vernon; two sisters, Clara Cimochowski and Elizabeth Labonte, both of Thompson; seven grandchildren, Jamie and Brendan Mailloux of Vernon; Chris Thorpe of Manchester; Shanon Reutter of Ellington; David Caron and Jason Caron, both of Vernon; and Doug Caron of Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Ladd-Turkington Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Rd. (Rt. 83), Vernon, Saturday, September 18, 9 a.m. until the funeral procession leaves for a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, Vernon. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse and Health Care Services of CT, 8 Keynote Dr., Vernon, 06066.
