Olof was born in Sweden, and emigrated to the US with his parents Ben and Elna Johnson and siblings before 1885. He married Mary Robinson in 1906. He was a scales foremen for the railroad in 1920. By the 1930 census he was widowed and living with his parents. He served as Morrison County Commissioner from 1937 to 1941. He was a Shriner, a member of the Masons and a member of the Machinists Union. At the time of his death he was survived by daughter Josephine, and sisters Edith, Rekal and Annie.
