Isaac POWNALL, as agent for the heirs, will sell at the late residence of William POWNALL, two and one-half miles west of Fulton, on Saturday, May 14th, a lot of personal property. Sale to begin at 10 o’clock.

All census records for William indicate Virginia as state of birth. I think most of the Pownalls in Fulton County Indiana came from Hampshire County Virginia (now West Virginia) - many of them by way of Ohio where they met and married their spouses. Not sure of the parents yet, or how they connect to my Pownall ancestors, but I'm working on it.
