Wyoming – Margaret A. “Peg” Ratcliffe Milroy, 91, of Wyoming, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Peg was born October 23, 1923, in Wyoming, the daughter of John H. and Hazel M. Cooper McHugh. She married Robert O. Ratcliffe on March 16, 1949. He died September 27, 1969. She then married Robert Milroy on October 27, 1978, in Toulon. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Alan Ratcliffe of Wyoming; three step-sons, Greg (Amy) Milroy and Tim Milroy both of Toulon, and Shane (Jill) Milroy of Kewanee; one step-daughter, Valerie (Mike) Grant of Wyoming;
nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, John T. Ratcliffe; two sisters; and one brother.
Peg owned and operated Peg’s Place in Wyoming for many years. She loved Christmas and decorated her home inside and out for several years. Peg loved flowers and was the oldest living descendant of the founders of Essex Township. Cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Wyoming Cemetery.
