Bruce Richard ANDERSON, 56, 2107 Smith Court, Rochester, died 5:24 p.m. Thursday at his residence.
Born Oct. 2, 1941 in Rockford, Ill., to Earl S. and June CARLSON ANDERSON, he married Christie S. HOEL on August 17, 1963 in Rockford, Ill. She survives at home.
Mr. Anderson was a 28-year employee of Camcar Torx Products and was employed by Gateway Homes of Rochester in the past two years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Rochester, and served on the church board of trustees for six years. He was a Boy Scout leader for 30 years, a foster parent for 10 years, and an Indian Guide.
Survivors include two daughters, Michele C. SILLENPAA and fiance Paul UMFLEET, Westland, Mich.. and Cari L. BATTLE, South Lyon, Mich; one son, U.S. Navy Lt. Kevin S. and wife Anami ANDERSON, St. Marys, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Corin [SILLANPAA] and Andrew SILLANPAA, Joyce [BATTLE], Jessica [BATTLE], Jennifer [BATTLE] and Michael BATTLE, and Kenneth [ANDERSON], Nicole [ANDERSON] and Nadine ANDERSON; mother, June E. ANDERSON, Rockford, Ill.; one sister, Sandee and husband Estelle BEAVER, Rockton, Ill.; his mother-in-law, Marrie HOEL, Rockford, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard E. [ANDERSON] in 1989 and his father.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester with Rev. David HOGSETT and Rev. Jeff TAYLOR officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery, Rochester. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon Sunday through e hour of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
