She was the wife of Ludwell E. Rucker. Died age 72 years, 8 months. Malvina came to Bloomington from Kentucky in 1835, settling on a farm 3 1/2 miles west of Bloomington.

She was the daughter of David Haggard and a sister of the mother of Gov. J.L. Routt, also the mother of Mr. Charles Lander, of this city. She married in Kentucky and emigrated with her father & husband to McLean County. She was the mother of William, who worked at the National Bank of Bloomington; George, a well-known farmer; Mrs Joseph Humphreys, and Miss Lucy Rucker.
