Sally came to Christian County, Kentucky to visit her sister, Betsy Lander, and her brother, Dawson Haggard, about the year 1819, and married Samuel Lander about 1821, and untied with the West Union Baptist Church. In 1835, they moved to Bloomington, and bought a large farm 2 miles west of Bloomington, where she died.
