Mildred Florence Stevens was born Feb. 19, 1905 at Polk, NE. She attended Kearney State Teachers College and Nebraska Wesleyan. She married Irvin Lloyd Anderson on June 6, 1928 at "The Little Brown Church in the Vale" at Nashua, Iowa. Ivan was born Sept. 3, 1903 at Stromsburg, NE. and passed away on June 13, 1977. Burial was in Polk Cemetery. Mildred taught school for nine years, five years were in Polk, NE. She has taught Sunday school in the Methodist Church at Polk for 58 years. Irvin was an irrigation farmer and they lived on their same farm for 49 years. After Irvin's death, Mildred moved to Polk. She received the 1981 Community Award. Mildred died Jul 17, 1991. They did not have any children.
