THE ELDEST DAUGHTER OF GOV. OGLESBY OF ILLINOIS MARRIED
Springfield , ILL.. Dec 27 – At 8o'clock this evening Chester A. Snyder of Kansas City and Miss Olive Oglesby, eldest daughter of Gov. Oglesby, were married at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in this city. In addition to those in attendance from Springfield there were present many guests from Chicago, Lincoln, Elkhart, Decatur, and various parts of the state. The ceremony was performed by the Right Rev. George F. Seymour, Bishop of the Springfield Episcopal Diocese, assisted by the Rector, the Rev. Frederick W. Taylor. The best man was Alexander Fraser of Kansas City. The bridesmaids were Miss Louise Felicite Oglesby, sister of the bride, and Miss Bell Vennigerholz of Decatur.
The maids in attendance were Miss Florence Glaudin of Louisville, Miss Lulie Roberts f Old Mission, Mich.; Miss Grace Kellogg of Chicago, and Miss Alice Bunn, Miss Louise Black, and Miss Sophie Fowler of Springfield. Te ushers were Meassrs. Robert Oglesby, brother of the bride, Hiram G. Keays of Elkhart, John W. Black of Springfield, and William S. Gaylord, W.D. Gregory, and Marvin Hughitt of Chicago.
The bride wore a gown of sole granite, en traine, over a petticoat draped with mousseline de soie and valenciennes. She was adorned with garlands of natural Roman chyacinth and wore a beautiful necklace and ornaments of diamonds, the gift of the bridegroom. After the wedding a reception was held by the happy couple at the Executive Mansion, which was attended by the State officers and their families, the Governor's staff in uniform and friends of the bride and groom.

Mrs. Olive Oglesby Snider of Albuquerque N. M., daughter of the late Richard Oglesby, Decaturs three time governer of Illinois died recently accordingly to word received by her cousin, Mrs. Charles C. LeForgee, Powers lane.
Mrs.Snider died at the Vadejo Ranch in Albuquerque the estate of her granddaughter, Mrs. Marthrya Mueller. She had been living in New Mexico for her health.
Mrs.Snider was the daughter of of Richard J. Oglesby and his then wife, Mrs. Anna White Oglesby. She spent her early life in Decatur and Springfield.
She was married to Charles A.Snider of Kansas city in the Springfield during one of her fathers three terms as governor. Her husband and a daughter Mrs. Herman Cornell survive her in death.
She leaves her granddaughter with whom she had been living and a half sister, Countess Felicity Bolognetti of Italy.
She was preceded in death by a half brother John G. Oglesby, former governor of Illinois and a brother Richrd Oglesby who lived in New York city.
Services will be held in Albuquerque. The body will be cremated and the ashes will be sent here. The ashes will be placed in the final burial ground in Greenwood cemetery.
At the close of the reception at the mansion the newly-married pair left on the midnight train for New York, going by way of Chicago. From New York they will go to California to spend the Winter, after which their future home will be in Kansas City.
