She was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on February 1, 1914 to Sam & Nishmi Simon.
She moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, and married Tofeek Kaleel on April 27, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1955.
They had six children: Rachel Zaelit (Tom - deceased), Yvonne Tabish (Vern), Jack Kaleel (Connie), Diane Murray (Larry), Ray Kaleel (Terry), and Rosemary Bennett (Jerry). Also survived by one sister, Fifi Berry. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Fred and John, one grandchild, John Tabish and her son- in-law, Tom Zaelit. Mom had 23 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Jude (Maronite Rite) Catholic Church, 4900 South Wasatch Street (250 East), Murray. A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m., also at the Church.
Committal at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
