Christina Backhaus, 6 year old daughter of Mrs. C. Backhaus of Linton, died suddenly Monday from septicemia pneumonia. She came home from school, complaining of a pain in her leg and thigh, stating she had been kicked by one of the boys at school. She was taken to the hospital for an x-ray, and it was determined she had pneumonia. She died 36 hours later. Burial was at the Backhaus farm in Glanavon. (Dale Cemetery - by Lowell Seymour)
