Funeral services for Roland Arndt, 78, of Winnsboro were held Thursday at Riser First National Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. Charles Langford officiating.
Interment followed in Providence Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Arndt died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000 at Golden Doors Nursing Home.
Mr. Arndt was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Winnsboro, a retired navy officer and retired from the Louisiana Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian Arndt and his son, Paul Arndt.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Brooks Arndt, Winnsboro; daughter, Mary Ellen Riley, Livingston, Texas; two sisters, Lillian Merris and Frances Amison; six grandchildren, Michael Arndt, Paul Arndt, Warren Arndt, Jerry Riley Jr., Kathy Lee, and Robert Riley; four great-grandchildren, Zachary Riley, Savannah Riley, Alex Little, and Taryn Riley.
