Helen (Mirek) Gaiewski, 90, of 38 Remington Road, Windsor, beloved wife of the late Adam Gaiewski, passed away on Tuesday (February 3, 2009).
Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Francis Mirek and Salomea (Bartus) Mirek, Helen lived most of her life in Windsor and was a communicant of St. Gabriel Church. Helen worked for the Windsor Public Schools at Roger Wolcott Elementary School in the cafeteria.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Nancy and her husband Kenneth Gaines of Windsor, a brother Edward Mirek and his wife Virginia of South Windsor, a sister Jean Dillon of Windsor, and three grandchildren Michael, Christopher, and Wendy Gaines. She was predeceased by two brothers John and Joseph Mirek, and three sisters Veronica Gaiewski, Victoria Daddario, and Mary Tyskiewicz.
The Funeral will be held on Saturday, February 7 at 9:15 a.m. from the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel Church, Windsor.
Burial will be in Windsor Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
