"In Memory of Marget Merit, Wife of Stephen Meret, Died August 12, 1840, Age 74 years 2 months".**large tall stone, that is supporting a tree on other side of barbed wire fence. Birth would have been Jun 1766 based on stone info. 1855 on bottom of stone probably indicates when this new stone was erected. The old stone still stands behind this one but was hand chipped and no info was readable.

This was Margaret's old original stone, no writing could be deciphered, new stone was put up in 1855 right in front of it.
