Eva A. Meyers, 84, 2221 W. First St., died Thursday at her residence following a long illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. The Rev. Larry Wimmer, pastor of Whitfield United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today and Monday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Meyers, the former Eva A. Forsberg, was born Feb. 14, 1903, in Sioux City and was a life-long Sioux City resident. She married Lewis A. Meyers on Nov. 18, 1922, in Dakota City, Neb. He died April 10, 1964, in Sioux City. She was a member of Whitfield United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Charles of Akron, N. Y., Sylvester of Cary, N. C., and Donald of Sioux City; three daughters, Ethel Bruce of Lakewood, Calif., Mrs. Earl (Mary Lou) Hartson of Gardenia, Calif., and Peggy Skelton of Sioux City; 31 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
